AWS A5.4 : E316L-16
Arcsteel 316L is a basic coated MMA electrode designed for welding austenitic Cr-Ni-Mo stainless steels and cast steels of comparable composition. It is suitable for fabricating 316L stainless steel structures in all welding positions, with the exception of vertical-down welding. The weld deposit offers excellent ductility and is intended for service in wet corrosive environments at operating temperatures up to 350°C.

- Features a durable and robust electrode coating for stable welding performance.
- Weld deposit contains a molybdenum content of ≥ 2.7%.
- Provides excellent resistance to both general and intergranular corrosion, making it
- suitable for service temperatures up to 400°C.
- Ensures smooth arc ignition and reliable re-ignition, combined with easy slag removal and a clean, uniform weld bead.
- Deposition efficiency of approximately 100%.
